My Dream

Since I was a child I have loved the humanities, I always dreamed of being able to help people and have the capacity to be able to do so. When I got to high school and had to think about what career I wanted to study, all my options were related to the humanities, among those was journalism, psychology, advertising, until I decided on social work because this career will allow me to fulfill my dream as a child which is to be able to help and also because it has relationship with the social sciences and humanities, this is what motivated me to make my decision.

I have been part of the University of Chile for about 7 months and my experience has been really good, I have met many interesting and funny people, I think they have contributed in a lot to my knowledge and I am very grateful for that. I hope to continue learning from all of them and from every teacher  I have the opportunity to know.

I imagine in about 4 or 5 more years with a steady job practicing my profession as I have dreamed so far, that is the job I want to have, I ask nothing more than to be able to practice my profession well and be an excellent social worker.

My favorite Holiday

This picture was taken in 2017 and is my favorite becauseit sample my happiness from those days. It was on summer vacation, near the new year. My dad took the picture from his cellphone.  It was the first time in my life that I had the opportunity to meet and touch a dolphin. The place is located in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.I recommend anyone who can make a trip to live this beautiful experience. The trip is several hours but it´s really worth it, the people I meet were very friendly and funny. The culture of Dominican Republic is very different. There is a lot of poverty but despite that people are happy. The weather is one of my favorite and its beaches are beautiful. I love having the opportunity to travel and thanks my parents for that. I certainly recommend the experience to all who are curious to know the Caribbean and the dolphins. It´s a trip to take with family, friends or whoever you want.

My favorite day of the week

My favorite day of the week is: Because it´s a day of  peace. I leave university aearly and usually finish my academic activities early. The reast of the day I´m free of stress. I usually stay chatting with my friends in university playground "calama", then I´m going home to be with my family, we talked about how our day was and enjoyed a rich meal. I like to take a 2 to 3 hour nap. Sometimes I like to do sports like going for a run or cycling. I also like to cook for my family like pancakes or lemon pie. At night I go out with my friends for parties or for a drink (usually mojitos). We like to dance, listen to music or just talk. I don´t like to study on Fridays and I allow myself that day off. It´s the only day I really enjoy, as On Saturdays and Sundays I resume my studies. The feeling of Friday conveys to me peace and happiness. It´s definitely the best day of the week.

MY FUTURE JOB

Has I mentioned in previous blog that my dream is to go live in Barcelona, I would like to practice my profession in España, but before, I wish I could change things in my country, the Chilean system urgently needs changes and I wish I could help with my knowledges. One of the reasons I have for wanting to leave, is that I love to know new places, I have also received good comments from Esapaña, I am excited for a couple years!. Another reason is that in Chile the salary is very low, I feel like I don't appreciate the importance of social workers in society, it´s sad that I have to leave the country so that the state appreciates my profession, anyway, I still want to leave jajajaj.  I would like to have my office, but I would also like to work on the street, I think visiting and becoming part of society´s problems is important for a social worker and for discipline only in this way we could understand what the rest needs I think it is the perfect mix to avoid falling into routi...
